                                     Dropbox

 Overview and Summary
Dropbox is a technology that lets you access your folders everywhere you go, whether it's on your phone, your laptop or your PC. There is a special folder on each of those devices and when you put one file into that dropbox folder it automatically synchronizes your other devices and that file appears on all your devices in the drop box folder. Dropbox was founded by two MIT graduates Drew Houston and Arash Ferdowsi. Drop box uses a freemium business model which means that users are offered a free account with a set storage and they get offered paid accounts for users that need more storage space. There are a lot of add ons to dropbox, SendToDropbox which allows users to email files to dropbox and MacDropAny which allows users to sync any folder on their computer to dropbox.

Evaluation
People absolutely love this app. They say that it makes their life so much easier.
(http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2343852,00.asp) This website has an overview and comments about dropbox and they are mostly positive. This piece of technology can come free but only with a specific amount of storage size. You can purchase better deals and more storage size from dropbox and become a premium member.

My opinion/Reflection
My opinion on this app is that it's the best app I ever used. Last year, I kept on losing my USB and forgetting in class and I was really annoyed with that. Emailing the files to myself was too much of a hassle and I was tired of it. I decided to search for something that would keep my files on the computer without me carrying a USB around and something that would be quick and convenient. My friend recommended dropbox and I absolutely LOVED it! It made my life so much easier because I had three courses in one semester in which saving and keeping files in portable storage was important and this was a very quick way to keep my files. Dropbox is very easy to understand and people can learn it very quickly through youtube videos or you can easily learn by yourself. This technology is ready for the next generation because it provides a very easy way too keep all your files safe and not lose them. The next generation is going to have a lot to do one computers and saving files and so I think this will be a very useful tool in the future for students and adults.
